Customers can sell their recyclable
materials - aluminum cans, scrap aluminum, copper wire and pipe, car
batteries, radiators and more - at the drive-through customer service
area.

Processing of donated
materials - plastic bottles, glass bottles, newspaper, cardboard - takes
place in the sorting/baling system. This system moves unsorted material
from the tipping floor onto two 30 foot conveyors, which then transports
the material to conveyors on a 17 foot high platform, where workers
separate the materials into hoppers underneath them.

Curbside recycling
service is available free to any resident of Brown County village.
Community Drop-off boxes are available in all Brown County villages, and
at six locations in Adams County.

Tours and Educational programs on
recycling and Litter Prevention are available by calling Recycling
Specialist Sam Perin at extension 104.

The Glass reFactory
As part of the Adams Brown
Recycling and ABCAP, the Glass reFactory is a non-profit business that
takes glass bottles that have been collected for recycling, and melts
them down to make suncatchers which are sold retail and wholesale.
