Senior Companion Program

Persons 60 years of age and older who meet income guidelines are wanted to volunteer for the Senior Companion Program. Earn a modest allowance and reimbursement for transportation, meals, on - duty insurance, and the opportunity to meet and make new friends by volunteering your time 20 hours a week - 4 hours a day, five days a week.

This program is a service initiative through which people age 60 and older provide assistance and friendship to elderly individuals who are homebound and, generally, living alone. By taking care of simple chores, providing transportation to medical appointments and offering contact with the outside world.  Senior  Companions often provide services - at no cost - that other elderly need in order to live independently.  The Senior Companion Program is based on the simple idea that the best way to help people is help them help each other.

If you are interested in becoming a Senior Companion, or, if you need the services of a Senior Companion, call Lorraine Hatfield at:

937-378-6041 ext 223  or 800-553-7393 ext 223
