MEALS ON WHEELS
Adams brown senior
nutrition "Meals on Wheels" provided assistance to people over the age of 60 who
are unable to prepare an adequate meal, are homebound, and/or unable to
participate at the congregate meal sites. Over 400 meals are delivered
throughout adams and brown counties daily. meals are delivered between the hours
of 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. we have eight staffed
meal routes averaging 75 miles round trip per route and one volunteer-based
route that make up the "meals on wheels" program.
Congregate meal sites are
located in many areas of the counties to give seniors the opportunity to come
out and visit with others, have a hot lunch, and still be close to home.
Congregate meal site locations are:
Adams County - west union,
seaman, and manchester
brown county - georgetown,
ripley, and sardinia.
meals are served at 12
noon, monday through friday.
The northern brown seniors
meet on monday's only at daly hall, st. patrick's catholic church in
fayetteville.
meals are provided on a
donation request basis. a donation of $1.25 is asked for each meal and all
donations received support the meals program.
